Tengo una versión de libro diferente (más antigua, traducida al inglés) que esta. Muy buena lectura que coloca a Amerigo en el lugar que le corresponde como descubridor y también como piloto mayor para el dominio español de los mares que condujo al éxito futuro en la exploración del Nuevo Mundo. Este libro profundiza en todos sus pasos hasta este punto, y desmiente las mentiras que lo sitúan como un usurpador del Colón genovés y su fama en lugar de como un amigo y ayudante para él. Sin el interés humanista florentino entre las naciones europeas, la era de la exploración habría sido mucho más larga. Amerigo se movía libremente entre las esferas para hacer sus grandes descubrimientos y relataba sus hallazgos con veracidad y humildad.
