This was a good book and it did get me to start thinking about where my food was coming from. I did go the full 21 days without animal products, caffeine, gluten, sugar, and alcohol. It helped me to be more creative with the food I ate. In the beginning I thought the only thing I would be able to eat was my lawn but I discovered a whole world of vegan food. Some of the food was delicious and some things (vegan cheese) did not compare to the real thing. My only complaint is that it got a little preachy about the animal rights… I love animals and even consider being vegan every now and again but I do think that there are people out there that raise their animals with love and respect and maybe she could give some of the stories about those farmers. All in all a good book and it did get me thinking which should be the goal of any good book.
